Pongal Celebration

Pongal, the harvest festival of Tamil Nadu, was celebrated at our school with warmth, colour and a deep respect for our traditions. It is a festival of thanksgiving, and our celebration helped students connect with the culture and customs of their land.

The heart of the day was the traditional Pongal pot ceremony, as students gathered to watch the festive dish boil over, a cherished symbol of prosperity and plenty. Lively folk dance performances and a colourful rangoli-making competition filled the campus with energy and artistry.

Through the songs, dances and rituals of the day, our students learned to value the hard work of the farmers who feed our nation and to appreciate the importance of agriculture in our lives. It was a joyful celebration of gratitude, community and the rich heritage of Tamil Nadu.
